#4 Is there a way in Carbon to maintain the volume without using the goal skin?

So in Carbon the tetrahedral volume constraint is the best solution to maintaining volume, but that is not available in Maya until later in the year.

If you have a closed cloth volume you can use pressure - but be careful as this is an explicit force.

Constraining a cloth to a cloth - such as a mattress, cloth binding works when the layers are not too far from each other. At further distance the solution is stitching which does not produce a lever effect since they are 2 body constraints and not 4 body constraints like binding.

Maybe we are missing a quick and dirty solution that avoids the need of tetrahedralization. The solution would be to rely on stitching and implement a procedural stitching mode that does not use ordered point to point groups. We will consider this further.

Hope that helps.
